Visionhandz is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families transition from homelessness to long-term stability through education, resource navigation, employment support, financial literacy, and community partnerships.

Visionhandz empowers individuals and families experiencing housing instability by providing resources, education, advocacy, and community support that help them transition from homelessness to long-term stability. We believe every person deserves the opportunity to rebuild their life with dignity, hope, and confidence.

Meet Our Founder
Nashima Highsmith, Founder & Executive Director
Nashima founded Visionhandz after living through housing instability twice — once while earning her associate degree, and again while pregnant with her son. Both times she kept going: she finished her degrees, secured stable housing, and built a career in Human Resources while raising her son as a single mother.
Those experiences taught her that homelessness affects far more than where someone sleeps. It shapes confidence, opportunity, well-being, and hope. Visionhandz is her answer — an organization that walks alongside families as they rebuild with dignity, education, and compassionate support.
